Question of the Day

What kinds of things sidetrack you easily?

Ooooh shiny! :D

[identity profile] dishapeaches.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Surfin' da intarwebz. Before I know it I've been sitting here for four hours when all I really wanted to do was look up directions on Mapquest, lol!

[identity profile] sm00bs.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
Since a lot of what I do requires a computer, LJ.

Even when I'm going things that don't require a computer... LJ.

Yeah, it's a bad habit.

Actually, nearly anything will sidetrack me. My students used to love getting me off on a tangent... ;)

[identity profile] uawildcatgrl.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
hatchlings!

[identity profile] jovi-diva.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there are so many things! Music, TV, my children, nudity...I'm sorry...what was the question again?

[identity profile] donnickcottage.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Anything I'm not supposed to be doing.

[identity profile] katamphigorical.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
Oh gods, you want a list...

Shinies, internet, good tales, listening to people talk, blank white walls, excellent music, polished stones, the shiny rainbow side of dvds and cds, a clean sheet of paper, a bottle of glue and glitter, books, lots of books, plastic toys, a project waiting to happen, the golden girls, cracking every bone in my body that can be cracked, watching my dog snore....

Ummm, i'm distracted very easily?

[identity profile] amante-donne.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
not sure on this actually! I dont think i get sidetracked, but i may do Hmmm.

[identity profile] spacedlaw.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
Shiny stuff indeed.
Books. Stories. Smells. Cats. Colours.

[identity profile] randorr.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Heck... anything and everything really. food, absent mindedness, food, internet, food, folks natterings, food, folks behaviours, food, people watching (in a non stalkery way), food, TV, especially Doctor who (this weeks episode looks to be a major mile stone in whodom), food, astrological events seen with the naked eye such as an eclipse, food, friends, and of course not forgetting... food

[identity profile] cerebralpig.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
People. :)

[identity profile] painted-dreams.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
the obvious one is my dog and pretty boys :-D

[identity profile] bia22.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 10:31 am (UTC)(link)
Livejournal during office hours

[identity profile] o-annie-o.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 10:52 am (UTC)(link)
Depends.
When I have problems to concentrate anyway nearly everything could sidetrack me. ;-)
And otherwise... music, music videos, watching my pets...

The internetz and pink bunnies hopping through my yard.

[identity profile] indigobluejelly.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 11:37 am (UTC)(link)
Everything, when I let it.

[identity profile] mighty-rontor.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 11:39 am (UTC)(link)
Logic leaps. Happens all the time.

[identity profile] smwright.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
I second this!

[identity profile] smwright.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 11:59 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, not too much. I don't have the time luxury of getting sidetracked. However, on the odd occasion, it's usually thought of the esoteric variety. My dad always said I think too much. :)

[identity profile] corporatebeach.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 12:24 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL!! I'm the same way.

[identity profile] nantosvelta.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely have to with the shiny!!

[identity profile] sorchawench.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Lately, the internet. I'll be sitting here, thinking deep thoughts, thinking about what to make for dinner, thinking about shaving my legs....and look at the clock to find that 6 hours have passed....

[identity profile] photodiva02.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
The internets and Apple Computers and stuff like that.

I love technology!

[identity profile] chiropteraclan.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
At home? Just about everything. At work, not much.

[identity profile] beatzz.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
It's such a shame I can't be more original, but... Ooooh shiny! just sounds just about right for me. :P

[identity profile] bronxelf-ag001.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Any kind of strong emotional relationship thing, particularly in the negative. Yesterday's shenanigans will distract me for days, if not weeks, requiring medication and limiting my productivity in a major way.

[identity profile] fox-bard.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You can distract me or break me out of nearly any funk by getting me to talk in professor-mode about History, Druidry, Folklore, or Music. Or anything else I happen to know a lot about. I'm a sucker for someone appealing to my intellect because I thought/was repeatedly told I was stupid for all of my childhood and most of my early adult years.

Just make me feel intelligent over something I worked at studying successfully, and I'm yours. Sad, isn't it?

[identity profile] libra-dragon.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Internet, something really good on TV, cute things that I don't need but see when I am shopping.

[identity profile] lazycatsteve.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
A conversation on ANY topic of interest will usually distract me from my current task. I admit it, I'm more of a talker than a doer.

[identity profile] danicia.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Everything. :D

[identity profile] innerly.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
my daydreams!

[identity profile] castlelady.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
The computer. I lose complete track of time sometimes when I'm on here.

[identity profile] jvmatucha.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Asides from Livejournal and video games, my cats are always disctracting me. I'd get a lot more work done if it weren't for my cats!

I'm one of [livejournal.com profile] f_l_i_r_t's minions, by thee way...

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
:D

Welcome aboard!

[identity profile] 1jodie.livejournal.com 2008-05-30 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
where to begin..... lol

These things would be...

[identity profile] mikesmaddie.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 10:28 am (UTC)(link)
...Spook howling, Bri calling for me, a loud and sudden noise either in the apartment hallway or outside the apartment hallway, the phone ringing, and the tv playing.

God bless and take care. :).
Olga/Maddie

[identity profile] empatia.livejournal.com 2008-05-31 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I am a very good multi-tasker so not many things can really distract me all the way...except a family problem or family period that will make me drop everything i'm doing.

I plan to check livejournal and quickly browse through peoples posts and before you know it I'm replying to them and if their online at the time they reply back to me (this new 'tabs' thing at the top of your webpage is great because I'll also have my gmail account open so I'll see if they've replied) I'll respond back and before you know it I've been here for hours!

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2008-07-14 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah... me too... It's a great time leech :D

[identity profile] eternalxwhisper.livejournal.com 2008-07-14 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
And books! I usually plan to only read a chapter here and there because I go through books like babies go through diapers but it never happens. I usually finish the book =(

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2008-07-14 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
:D

Yeah... Me, too!
