Karate. Kata in particular. Being able to go somewhere and concentrate so completely on something that you forget everything else has helped me through some rough times. I love getting it perfect, and even if I don't, it's a good laugh.
i've so many passions. berlin. kate bush and her music. learning as many obscure languages as i can. the pro-choice movement. i have lots more, but these are the ones that spring to mind.
I'm so passionate about kids having their needs met, being happy and healthy as kids should be that heck! I'm basing my studies and career ambitions on it.
I have two nephews and two neices and man they make me feel awesome everytime I'm around them.
What really gets me worked up are the "trendy" people. People who judge themselves and others by what they have, not who they are. People who put others down because "They don't have x,y, and z", "They aren't formally educated", "Their family still lives in an apartment", "Oh, you mean the guy who drives a station wagon??".
People who have to show off who/what they are by what they wear and judge others by outside appearences: "Black hair and black clothes? What a freak. Stay away from him".
People who do things for show. "I gave to charity X so I could wear the cool t-shirt they gave me so everyone knows I gave to charity X." Seems to me it helps out Charity X if you just gave to them and got nothing in return.
Hmm.. passionate enough that I begin to want to rant and sound obsessed. :-)
I'm very passionate about making this world a better place. When I see something I don't like or feel bad about, I'd do something to make it better. I live in DC and there are a bunch of stray cats running around the alley behind my house, I've been feeding them because I feel bad that they have no food so I decided to take the "caretaker" role for them. They still won't let me get close but it makes me feel warm that I helped them survive through the night. I also like to help people. Another thing I'm passionate about is reading!!!!! I don't have much time to read lately but when I can, I'll just sit down and read a book till it's done.
At first I was going to be witty and say, "nothing, but I get caught up in stuff from time to time," but the more I thought about it, the more things got dropped from the list. In the end, the only thing that was left was "my soul." I'm chiefly a gnostic agnostic because I really don't trust any one cleric or religion with my soul. It's mine and mine alone, and I'm not going to just hand over the care of it to anyone or anything. Those who want it or try to tarnish or damage it can suck my ass clean. I shall flay those who would try. They won't ever get it, not while I'm alive.
My friends, my family, and my Lisa. My pets are also up there in the list, along with my passionate hate for non-tolerant people (which probably puts me in that category).

As I give it more thought...
