Not much. I'm better than average in a few areas in comparison to other people my age. I'm ethical, honest, loyal, determined, thoughtful. But am I special? It depends on the shade of meaning of that word. In the of sense of "non-average, unusual", the first sentence here applies. In the sense of "non-average, unusual" with positive connotations, the second does.
A person could light off a list of specials but what makes one special can differ from each and every person that one meets. I see your poetry, another might see your technical savvy, etc.
I have a third eye. I keep it in my pocket usually, because I don't really want to scare anyone with it. But sometimes, like when I need to read three things at once, I can't help but pull it out and use it. I dunno; is that special?
