Question of the Day

If someone counts you as an enemy and you don't even know they exist, what would you do?

Today's question is a version of one asked by [livejournal.com profile] kosta_pasta :D

:) I would be certainly amazed and do nothing.
thanks:)

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
I'd at least watch my back! :)

[identity profile] infinitywhisper.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 12:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. . .it would depend a lot on what station I held, why they were my enemy, and what the imposed intent would be.

I would certainly hire a wine and food taster. **giggles**

I would know them, understand them, and watch them carefully.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 11:06 am (UTC)(link)
:D

Definitely a case of watching your back... :)

[identity profile] wiltinwickwitch.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't get that, Ayoub...
how whould you know they count you as an enemy if you don't know they exist?

Sometimes fear can be unreasonable, and fear of a person can lead to considering them an enemy...

[identity profile] the-ravyn.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Laugh and get on with the grandness that is me. :D

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
:D

I'd be curious, though... as to why...

[identity profile] l-nephthys-l.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 01:14 pm (UTC)(link)
If I don't know they exist, then I don't know them. end of story. Can't expect everyone to like me and honestly, I wouldn't give a damn even if I did know them. It's their problem, not mine.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
:D

I'd still watch my back a bit...

[identity profile] fire-fox01.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I would try to find out way in case I did something assholeish to them or maybe was misunderstood. If it was for something silly I would leave and get over it. Not everyone will like me.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:05 am (UTC)(link)
:D

It's good to understand why...

[identity profile] mighty-rontor.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Identify them, counts their effective assets, assess your vulnerabilities relative to them, take action as needed if it comes to it.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:06 am (UTC)(link)
Excellent answer :)

[identity profile] cmerun12.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
If you "don't know they exist", why would you care?

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
What if you find out they do via a third person?

[identity profile] cmerun12.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Again, why would you care?

Nevermind that you've just changed the parameters of the question - now you know they exist.

[identity profile] mousie.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Ignore it.... first off they mean nothing to you. Secondly, People that dont get to know you and decide you are an enemy without that knowledge are just plain ignorant. Personally I feel better off without people like that anyway. hugs

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... me too... but then, hate is unreasonable... so I'd keep an eye on my back as well :)

[identity profile] voldelange.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
nothing...i don't know about them,right? :P

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:16 am (UTC)(link)
:D

[identity profile] razzberee.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldnt' give a crap! If we don't even have a history together, they don't have good enough reason to hate me. Which means they're not too bright.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
Ye but I'dstill watch out for them... Not too bright people can hurt me too...

[identity profile] fox-bard.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
The same thing I do whenever I have that problem, and sadly I have had this happen after high school: You hold your head up, you keep going, and when they reveal themselves - no mercy. If they make the first move and declare war, you are in your rights for self-defense. And if they don't make a move at all? Bonus!

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:22 am (UTC)(link)
:D

Excellent answer... and it's a shame that these things sometimes have to be dealt with many many years after high school!

[identity profile] fox-bard.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
I hang out with pagans and actors at Ren Faire. 'Nuff said. ^__~

[identity profile] donnickcottage.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
To do anything would give the concept more credit than it's worth. Osama wants to kill me. I couldn't care less.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:25 am (UTC)(link)
What about on a more personal level.... like the guy down the street who's psychotic, and takes a dislike to you?

[identity profile] childeofloki.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing. How can I react to something I don't know about?

However, if I did know about them, but I don't know them, I'd react with a savagery that outshines the gods of Old.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:36 am (UTC)(link)
:D

A powerful point of view, as always :)

[identity profile] crescent-fresh.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
continue my life of blissful ignorance.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:40 am (UTC)(link)
:D

[identity profile] soulview.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Uhm, I don't know they exist so I don't know they think of me as an enemy.

O.o

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:52 am (UTC)(link)
What if you found out they did?

[identity profile] soulview.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 11:29 am (UTC)(link)
It wouldn't bother me. I had an enemy for a while (maybe I still do but I don't care), her title is ex hubby's wife ... I learned that being yourself is the best thing to be even with an enemy.

[identity profile] yndy.livejournal.com 2006-12-01 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
be curious about it... clearly I impacted that person unintentionally - as I have more than enough 'enemies' that I am aware of... I've learned that the only person who doesn't have enemies is someone who is so boring that it's hard to believe s/he exists.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:56 am (UTC)(link)
That's a valuable lesson indeed....

[identity profile] miriyasterling.livejournal.com 2006-12-03 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
Well if I didn't know they existed they obviously couldn't be important.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2006-12-06 09:57 am (UTC)(link)
What if you found out they did?
