Question of the Day

Are you a good patient, or a grouchy one?

[identity profile] warrior-olight.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
It depends on whether Zeppo and Harpo go along with me to my appointment. Uhm, you DID say Groucho, right? ::grins::

I am a fairly good patient but it also depends on the attitudes of the doctor and his staff.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2007-01-20 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
LMAO!

Yeah, nothing worse than a doc with a bad attitude...

Unless he's Greg House...

[identity profile] evergladesqueen.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 10:28 am (UTC)(link)
good, however i am bad at being patient-for some things
*hugs*

[identity profile] electricsoupie.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 11:45 am (UTC)(link)
I hate waiting which often makes me cranky, but otherwise im brilliant.

[identity profile] mighty-rontor.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Good, but I'm always asking questions like a child.

[identity profile] delphaicdragon.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends, really. If I'm my own patient, I'm cranky as hell. But when I went into the hospital to have my tonsils out, the doctors and nurses thought I was just the cutest, happiest, most perky thing they'd ever come across. :)

[identity profile] wingswithwar.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on how sick I am.

Yesterday I didn't have the strength to be grouchy.
Today I'm bored stiff, still weak, have a ton of things to do. . .and YOU'RE freaking NOT GROUCHY . . .AT ALL!! which tells me you are ENJOYING this ENTIRELY TOO MUCH!!

so.yeah.

guess which one.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Grouchy isn't going to make me feel better, so I might as well enjoy a little pampering ;)

[identity profile] wingswithwar.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:44 pm (UTC)(link)
**raises eyebrows**

why is it that when a man and a woman are sick at the same time, the guy gets pampered?

jus' askin'

**smirk**

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I have no idea...

No, really... I don't...

[identity profile] wingswithwar.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
that's not what you said TO ME.

[identity profile] wingswithwar.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, you are. . . you're actually enjoying being sick today, aren't you?

Stop smiling.

You're sick.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I didn't enjoy last night...

But today? :D

[identity profile] cw-owner.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Grief, who would, bless your heart.

[identity profile] the-ravyn.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I am a doctor's worst nightmare.

[identity profile] markbuster.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I can compete here! :)

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2007-01-20 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
In that case, you're officially not allowed to be sick, ever. :)

[identity profile] cmerun12.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
If I have to go to the doctor/hospital: I'm good, so long as the medical staff keep me informed. As soon as I hit the target deadline, or the medical staff "forget" I'm there - I get real pissy very quickly.

If I'm at home: I'm usually alone when I'm sick. If I'm very sick, I call my mom.

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2007-01-20 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwwwww... calling mom is so, just... awwwwww

[identity profile] reynold.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on how cute the nurse is!

[identity profile] markbuster.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I am one of the worst patients on the planet. I would not treat me, if i came to me! lol

I have no tolerance for pain.
I am totally self induldgent.
I refuse to stop working.
If I don't get the meds I want from my doctor, I know how to get them elsewhere-- and often will.
I insult the office staff at my doctor's office.
I get angry if my partner forgets that I am sick
and asks me to do someting.
I get angry if he fails to ask me to do something just becuase I am sick!!

I am a lousey, terrible, tyrant of a sick person-- which is why I try to stay healthy.

[identity profile] crescent-fresh.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
definitely a good one. 'cause it's fun to let other people do all the worrying for me.

[identity profile] mysticpickle.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes.

[identity profile] empatia.livejournal.com 2007-01-16 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
well...lol, I work in a hospital my patients are all bad and good in different ways and i am positive i would be much the same. I would be good in the sence that i don't complain much, I would be bad in the sence that I am one of the most stubborn people on the planet so if there is something i don't agree with or don't want to do...it's not going to get done.

But at least i don't have frotal lobe damage...those patients are hard on stress levels....they're mean well for the most part lol

long winded answer...:P sorry!

[identity profile] markbuster.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
I work in a clinic-- and the non-complainers worry me. They don't tell you what is going on until it's disaster. I prefer the childish nag :)

[identity profile] empatia.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
lol that's a good point. I work with the chronic and the elderly, they who are very demanding and they should be they deserve to have their every need met I just can't see everyone "RIGHT NOW!!". They like to say "righ now Katrina, i don't have a minute" lol. I have never had a non-complainer, not yet anyway...I'm not sure that is a good thing, I have a soft spot for the mean ones. The mean ones fight and fight keeps them going.

I ramble a lot lol

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2007-01-20 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing wrong with you rambling!

I like it! :D

[identity profile] laurel714.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yes.

LOL

Both.

[identity profile] childeofloki.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
Depends on whose patient.

[identity profile] eternalxwhisper.livejournal.com 2008-07-11 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a good patient is a little shy and I'm sometimes embarrassed to say what's wrong with me (even thought it's hardly ever embarrassing!). I tend to not ask questions and when I get home and the parents ask me questions I have no answers for them! >.<

Is it wrong of me to still want my mummy to come into the doctors room with me and I'm 24!

[identity profile] ayoub.livejournal.com 2008-07-12 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
Nope... Not wrong at all!

Cute, though :D
