Question of the Day

What is your favourite scent?

Varies per season.

In spring it's the scent of the fabiic softener mixed with fresh spring air when the laundry is drying outside.

During summer it's walking downtown and smelling a vague coconut sun oil scent combined with all the grilled meat scents from the restaurants, like you're on vacation.

During autumn it's the scent of a fireplace combined with cinnamon candles.

During winter it's coming home after a stew has been simmering in the crockpot for several hours.

Patchouli. Always Patchouli.

Smells like the 60's in a bottle :)

OMG that's so hard... all kinds of scents do varying things for me. But if I had to choose just one? [thinks hard]

Couldn't do it... the most I could get it down to would be three...

Vanilla
Cinnamon
My husband's skin

:D

fresh rubber from car/bike tires. I love hardware stores for this reason.

There are sooo many good smells. Coffee, of course. Freshly baked bread. Supple new leather. Scott's "scent". The air right before a rainshower or thunderstorm. I could go on and on...

In terms of what to wear as perfume? I make my own, since most bottled scents don't appeal to me, except Eternal Love's Indecent and a few BPAL scents that are really yummy.

I like heady, sweet/spicy smells. I love the smell of orange, vanilla, patchouli, musk, cinnamon, ginger and clove. I also like amber with a touch of peach to it.
If they came out with a perfume with all of those elements, I'd be in heaven.

Midnight Star came out with an oil scent about 10 years ago called "Desire me". If someone found me that oil again, I'd be forever indebted to them.

Anything musk! Vanilla musk, hint of musk, white musk.
