movie: Kingdom of Heaven (was our very first date, but I missed the movie pretty much in its entirety because all I could think of was, "OMG he is holding my hand!" It was deliciously distracting for both of us. He didn't even remember what film we saw! Just that he had gotten up enough guts to hold my hand!)
song: "Your house holds the peace I need/My whole world just spins and weaves/And the only constant I know/Is when I fall down with you/You come in and rearrange my life/Sometimes I wonder if it's worth the fight/But tonight, I'm going to fall down with you" ("Fall Down With You" by Paper Boys)--song playing when he gave me that Princess Bride kiss through my car window
others: "Ghost Love Score" by Nightwish any song by Ulcer "Fight Club" The book Ceremony by Leslie Silko Briar Rose by Jane Yolen "Annabelle" by the Duhks "Big Love" tv series
oh the list goes on, but I am not awake enough yet to drag all of them to the surface...
Quotes: see my user profile, "No matter where you go, no matter what you do, if you know how to read you can teach yourself how to do anything" by Warren Beckwith, "No matter how dark it gets or how bad things seem, the sun will always rise in the morning. You just have to make it through the night" my dad
Songs/Song lyrics: "The Logical Song" by Supertramp, "With or Without You" by U2, "Rio" by Duran Duran, "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran, "Feel Like Shit/Deja Vu" by Suicidal Tendencies, "Operation: Mind Crime" by Queensryche, "Add It Up" by the Violent Femmes, "Rawhide" by the Dead Kennedies, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" by Dukas, "Requiem" by Mozart, "1812 Overture" by Tchaikovsky, and the list goes on...
Movies: War of the Roses, Total Recall, Terminator, Matrix, Rambo (First Blood, part 2), Godzilla 1985
I liked Kingdom of Heaven when I first saw it. But, I must say - I just recently watched the Director's Cut of the film, and it is such a better movie! It provides so much more character development and plot detail. The film went from good, to great. If you haven't seen that version, I highly recommend it.
*nod* I purchased the DVD some time after it was released since I couldn't remember much about seeing it in the theater. I remembered there were swords, templar knights and a few horses. But I was too seriously distracted to watch the movie then. Now I know the movie was good too. :D
