If "panned" refers to severely criticizing something, I'll have to get back to you. I'm drawing a blank right now, and my tastes are such that I sometimes have a lot of guilty pleasures. Some of them are even in black and white!
I love the movie "Snatch". It's in my top 3 movies, if not my favourite movie. Most people who have seen it say they don't get it, it's a dumb premise and not believable. (WTF? It's a movie, not a documentary. Geesh!)
Bullet Tooth Tony: Boris the Blade? As in Boris the Bullet-Dodger? Avi: Why do they call him the Bullet-Dodger? Bullet Tooth Tony: 'Cause he dodges bullets, Avi.
I´m not totally sure what "panned" means. I guess a movie that everybody I know hates or something like that.
Hmm... I wasn´t very successful with bringing "The Libertine", "Ed Wood", "Dead Man", "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas" or "Natural Born Killers" close to others. And many more I guess.
Quotes from all of them? I would have to think about it for a while.
Same here! It's funny... my husband tried to get me to watch it one night and I was *so* not interested. I wound up absolutely LOVING the movie. I'm so glad he made me watch it.
OMG I *love* this movie!! Guy Ritchie (at least the two I've seen) movies are excellent! I love that Brad Pitt is in this movie because he fell in love in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. He couldn't master any accent, so Guy Ritchie gave him the part of a Pikey. Hilarious stuff!!! I can't decide which I like better between LSTSB and Snatch.
Swashbuckler with James Earl Jones and the late, greats Robert Shaw and Peter Boyle.
Nick Debrett's limerick: "There once was a maiden named Starkey who had an affair with a darkey. The result of her sins was quadruplets, not twins: One white, one black, and two khaki."
Excess Baggage...I love that movie. Benicio Del Toro is so hilrious. I haven't watched it in a while. There are some funny quotes though.
My favourite is the part he says "I went to open the drunk and bam there's the owner in the trunk" that's not it exactly and it's just hilrious how he says it.
Or when he tells her "I once stole a Ferrari with a Chihuahua in the back. He made less noise than you do"
