Pre-dawn. Silence except for a solitary lark out the window near my computer. Expensive coffee and cheap cigarettes. Soft cotton on my body and bare feet. An hour or two for writing, alone, before little girl kisses and big girl smiles.

I rub my daughter's back as she wakes up and we talk about the best parts of today before they happen. Then she gives me a sleepy hug and kiss and I go make breakfast. It's the best part of my morning. :D

6 is my required get-up time but I'd prefer to not have to use an alarm. I think even if I went to bed earlier there's probably not any way I'd naturally wake up at that time! 7 or 8 is more likely.
