I suppose I have two major pursuits.

The first is to be an active participant in the world of the arts. Art, literature, film, theater, music -- all of it has brought so much beauty to my life in so many ways. It's important to me to add my own contributions to that world so that I can feel I'm truly part of it. This objective is easy. I do this every single time I sit down to paint a picture or write a poem.

The second is to empower people. It's important to me to do what I can to help other people feel confident in themselves, and able to seek their own goals and follow their own dreams -- especially other artists and creative people. There are too many people out there in the world that tell others "they can't". I like being one of the ones who says "they can".
