What is the weirdest fashion you ever followed?

Back in the 80's... Layered jackets... 'nuff said.

Hm. I never had the super big 80's hair...I did tight-roll my pants, wear layered socks, and I owned a pair of parachute pants. I loved all things Michael Jackson, and didnt have the glove or the jacket, but I had a necklace with a glove, and a "beat it" t-shirt. Oh, and feathered/layered hair - yikes!

Dreadlocks --- so popular among the girls in grade school.

I did NOT rock that look.

New Wave c. '81-87. My temples were bleached, I wore polo shirts under Oxfords, and Sebago Docksides. I looked good back then. Now it's Hawaiian shirts and BDU pants with sandals and long hair.

Then again, there's my Renaissance garb, too.

Well there was the whole Madonna phase. Netted shirts over white wife beater shirts, rosary beads, mini skirts with leggings.

The 80's were a crazy time...with big hair, bright colors and lots of socks. And I did it all. Haha.

Yeap, I'd definitely say the MC Hammer pants. I hope all of those pictures have been thrown away.

I was a child of the 70s-80s. I went through my bright colours phase, then my Heavy Metal/Biker phase, my military/G.I. Joe BDU pants phase, my vampire/goth classical Victorian phase, etc.

And, of course, I still wear Renaissance/Medieval garb on nine weekends of the year.

But I think neon colours and an M.C. Hammer t-shirt that said "Can't Touch This" were my personal weirdest - I was still in high school at the time. And even then, I would rather have worn Faire garb 24-7.

Shoulder pads! Lots of them too - shirts and jackets both had them, so you were always doubled-up.

side ponytail?

Oooh, and there was a period when my bangs could have been used as a badminton net.

Hair that defied gravity. I would roll a piece of hair around the curling iron, and spray it with Aqua Net hairspray. When it was done sizzling, I would take it off the curling iron, and tease. It's a wonder I still have hair.

Ripped jeans. I would take a new pair of jeans, bleach them, hang them up on a clothesline and slash them with a razorblade. Then wash them again a few times to get them to fray. I would wear lacy or patterned tights underneath them, and top the outfit with a T-shirt of whatever heavy metal band.....
