What if the Nazis had won?
They say history is written by the winner, and to a great extent, that is true, but if they would have won, one of the things that would have happened is that there would be no acceptance of another colour, race, religion, or lifestyle. We would all be straight blue eyed blondes, or dead.
Many men and women died to prevent that.
They died in preserving the foundation for our way of life today.
We must remember those men and women who are always on active duty. Those who laid down their lives to help form the world we live in today.
Spreading the blatant prejudice that is inherent in trying to ban marriages for those who are not like you, does not honour the fallen, because any statement that gives one human being more rights than another is the beginnings of selecting a new master race.
We are not all the same. And those who want everyone to believe the same thing, and be the same? Well... It's been tried, and too many have died to stop it already.
Unless, of course, you think Hitler should have won, and we should all be Aryans. And yeah, if you do, then you are allowed to think that, because of the freedoms you enjoy.
Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind...War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today.
~ John F. Kennedy
Of course, there is more to this, in history. There are things the Alliance didn't do properly at the end of the war, and I am making this very black and white, but, as it is my journal, and these are my opinions, I can do it, again, because of the freedoms I enjoy.

But yes, I agree, eventually there would have been a revolution!

For each one of these #'i+heads that takes freedom for granted and chooses to do evil, there is one serving in our country's armed forces, or being a student ...
Never forget, always remember that the evil still resides in humanity.

Date: 2008-11-13 05:33 pm (UTC)First off, Russia gave around 27 million casualties in WW2. Wich is more that any other country that took action in it. It's a tottal of around 80 million. Do the math. And your and our NATO did not took place untill 1997. The US military that took action in the WW2 did so only after it hit them in the head that this is bigger than them and there's no good in cowering and hoping it will pass. Hense, Pearl Harbor 1941. And 1943 was the actual time the US "invaded" (not mutch left to invade) Italy. All hail the "Great American Cavalry" wich we all know comes last. In the mean time Allied forces are pushing from back evertything not theirs back. But enough about that. Point made.
So. The US could not defent one fucking harbour. Ofcourse 'cos they were unprepared! Who would have thought they would actually take part in a World War? That's just crazy!
And today, it's the same thing. Let's make this as straight as can be. The US does not takes in to consideration. Simple as that. As Lily said to me, the US invaded Iraq becouse they were a threat. With balistic weapons and all that. So, um... I dunno. You ever thought about that if they Wanted they would have fired their weapons? No matter US or what the fuck. The States got to those weapons long after the invadion had began. So, lemme ask you. After you killed Saddam a couple of times. Why did he not fire them? And wich was the threat. Him, having weapons. Or someone pushing him to the edge?
This is just a point of view. And got too stretched allready. So yeah. None offence when i'm talking about things like that. I just get fired up.
Sorry about my spelling but i'm in a hurry. T-t-l-y.
