If someone could tell you the precise date and time of your death, would you want to know?

Nope. No way. No how.

Yes. And then I would try my damndest to change that fate.
Like Belgarath said, once. A turnip might be able to just sit back and accept it's fate, but I'm a man.

Nope. How could you live just waiting for that? Same goes for someone with a terminal illness. It's not to say someone should be led to believe they have more time than they do, but some people, if given, say, 3 months, will just give up. Am I making sense??

absolutely... every moment I've had for most of the last 6 years has been an extra blessing I shouldn't have had.
I will make the most of those remaining, but it would be nice to be able to decide how best to spend them! :)

Only if he told me I'd die right after he told me. I mean, yeah, who could bear to carry that for the rest of their lives?

That is an odd question...

(reason why on it's way)

My Mom calls me the other night and drops THIS on me -

She spent her evening writing out her own obituary and wanted to share the news.

*blink*

I don't want to know when I die, no...

I just hope the hell it's done while I am very distracted and NOT when I am using the toilet!

'Nuff said...

Love,
L.

Maybe. Like the main character in Big Fish (I hope I have that title right - Tim Burton movie), when you know the time/date/place of your death, you know that nothing is likely to kill you before the appointed hour!

i think i'd only want to know if i was young and it was soon. like, if it was going to be next year. but if i'm going to die at a reasonable age (60s and beyond, at this point), i'd not want to know, at least not now.

HELL YES! Because then I could do some crazy shit, like whatever I wanted, and make sure to fit it all in before then.

I'd rob banks to get the cash, jump off the top of the buildings to get away, and spend it on sky diving, hookers, and blow--simultaneously!

A psychic asked one of my friends that once, and she said she didn't want to know. I thought about it a bit, I would definitely say yes, as I always want to know all and unravel every mystery. And of course, knowing would make me better at prioritizing.
