Well, the one rumour I hated was back in high school, but it somehow festered into "fact" (one of those things people believe anyway, even when you explain what really happened).

I had a miscarriage at 15 and, being in a highly strict catholic school, we had to watch abortion videos in order to prove how evil it was. Obviously, as no-one but my closest friends knew about the pregnancy (not family or teachers), I had to watch it...dead foetus pictures are not what you need to see a week after you've lost a child and I ended up in hysterics.

So, everyone decided I must have had an abortion. Even after I explained the truth. That wasn't fun :o(

I had a reputation when I was young because I had a lot of boyfriends but I never had sex with any of them. Strange how people make assumptions because you play the field. Also I had lots of male friend who were and still are only that :)

That I seduced one of my roomate's boyfriends when we were caught in an untowards physical position although fully clothed. In fact he was drunk and was in the process of forcing me. Since my friend didn't believe me I just let her think what she insisted to be the truth. She eventually married him and later divorced him for having multiple affairs. The sad thing is that she told everyone a lie about me and it hurt me very bad.

I had to strain my brain on this one..

and I can think of one instance... someone spread word I slept with a guy, knowing he had a girlfriend.

I never slept with said guy _and_ when I expressed some concern about hanging out with him one-on-one he told me he broke up with his girlfiend.

I think she's still with the guy, but I've heard through the grapevine he's found a few girls to stray with. He's just that kind of person.

I actually have the same answer as you - I admit that I'm a flirt and I've been with my fair share of people but not nearly as many as I apparently have to my credit. I've broken up marriages and taken the virtue of barely-legals and I'm the one you call if you need a good time on a Saturday night. At least, that's what they say.
