It's ugly and there's tons of lines over there, so it wouldn't surprise me. My icon could have been made with Dundalk somewhere in the title.

But, allow me to explain about Dundalk. It is the white trash mecca of Baltimore City. John Waters must wank off whenever he goes there. Seriously.

This is where women have strange hold over hair from the 80's, brittle-dyed blonde and towered in feathers on their heads with a thick helmet of hair spray to hold it all together. They wear blue eye-shadow with coral lipstick. They have cigarettes dangling from their mouths as they drag their screaming brats through bargain store parking lots so they can get home in time for pool league at the local bar. And usually, they are missing several front teeth from bar fights.

This is where men in Orioles or Ravens caps with a budweiser in hand go fishin' (hon) in waters that are so polluted and smell so outrageously bad, even in winter, that you have to wonder if they have any sense of smell left. Probably not. They spend their nights at different bars from their women, getting drunk and hitting on any other female that passes by.

These people had a football game with neighboring and equally bad Essex this past winter, for the denial of ownership of a waste treatment plant. O_o

It's like a demented area of the damned. It's scaaaaarrrrry. My one saving grace in life whenever things became horrid, or I felt that I was worse less than nothing, was that at the very least, I was never born or raised (or lived) in Dundalk.

I grew up in a white trash neighborhood in SoWeBo (South West Baltimore City). It wasn't as harsh as yours by any stretch, though we did have the B&O railroad tracks right behind our house spewing coal and asbestos (sp?) into the air. I still miss the sound of the trains shunting at night, but it's the only thing I miss.

A lot of old Baltimore neighborhoods have the class of people I described. I was destined to be one of them by location. But they realized I was a freak pretty early on and beat the hell out of me on a daily basis until I was 13, so I didn't join the cult of the white trash damned. Heh... perhaps they did me a favor, now that I think about it.

Alas, Dundalk is one of those places where I must hold my breath when driving through it or near it, for fear the fumes will overwhelm me and rob my brain of any more IQ points. At least I haven't done so in years. Thank goodness. ^_____^
