Day 50... Halfway there!

Slender silver needle
pierces and pulls
white tail becomes red
yet its wielder continues
piercing and pulling
drawing together
jagged edges of rent flesh
once torn in twain
by mine own hand

The pain is great
steel and thread
piercing and pulling
almost unbearable
yet the healer continues
reshaping this heart
that had lost its way

Pierced and pulled
together by strong threads
of caring, compassion and love
the healer hopes
despite my loss of such
that it will find strength
to be whole again
