Every life lost
in defending our shores
was a child
taken away from a parent
a sibling
stolen from the home
a friend
mourned on each night out
a lover
never to warm the sheets again
Remember
those who gave the ultimate sacrifice
spare thoughts
for the families they left behind
offer prayers
for those heroes who died for us
and hope
that the ones at risk now come home safely
Remember...
At 11:00 on 11/11 We remember the Eleventh Hour, when all was nearly lost, and give thanks for the turning of the tide, while remembering those soldiers, who are always on active duty.
