Not my internist. He nominally cares about me and is polite. All that white-coat wants to do is put me on pills and make me wait until he's through glad-handing the snake-oil salesman/ pharmaceutical rep, who - undoubtedly - must be giving him cash and some wicked-good, quality blowjobs. Everyone's got high blood pressure, high cholesterol and is on the verge of becoming a diabetic, and if enough people aren't hitting the "bad numbers" the fuckers arbitrarily come up with "the latest ivy-league university double-blind study" that sets the healthy numbers so fucking low that no human on earth can hit them with out these pills that make you have to take a blood test to see if it turns your otherwise perfectly working liver into the largest blood-bearing clump of fecal matter in the human body.
Here's a news flash, you white-coated assholes: IF IT FUCKS UP A HUMAN'S LIVER IT'S NOT GOOD FOR THEM!!!
I do I like my chiropractor though. He's pretty keen!
I admit that I play headgames with any doctor I have. I know how to fudge my bad habits near check up time so that I don't get in trouble or need "intervention". Pffft. If I really wanted intervention on my excess smoking, excess caffeine consumption and lack of eating, I would freaking trumpet it on LJ so that people (without the power to put me away) would give me sympathy and attention. Pfft on that, too!
Me, myself and I would rather be left alone and fly under the radar. When I don't want my bad habits any longer, I'll give them up. What I hate is fighting with my doctor on why I'm keeping my current behaviour and why he can take a flying leap when it comes to what I'm going to do. I pay him to keep me nominally healthy, not to brow beat me into becoming a poster child for the AMA. Heh.
Not at the moment. We are having a war of wills. We will meet in 2 weeks, and he will either convince me to go his way, or he will go mine, or he is fired like a $20 whore. No one, even if they have initials at the end of their name, can tell me what to do without some logic and reason behind it. Especially in the 21st century, where we can buy our meds online.
that's not true. he liked that midget. and he likes wilson. kind of. and foreman; he definitely likes foreman. as long as he doesn't like this season's writing, we're fine.
