One that I have noticed being used wrong all the time although i dont use it myself is mainly from people in the US, they say "could care less" whereas it should be "couldn't care less". to say i could care less, means you actually care a little. whereas couldnt care less means you dont actually give a sh*t.

Hey, I've noticed this as well. Usually when I try to explain why they're misusing the phrase, people have no idea what I'm saying. -_-

It's not really a saying but I have always said to "unthaw"something in the microwave when really "unthaw" would be freezing it not defrosting it. I'm horrible for making up my own little words and then being completely shocked when no one understands what I mean.

Lyrics in general. That may be why I don't generally care about them.

Honestly, sometimes I could care less and sometimes I couldn't care less. Kind of careless of me, eh? I'm not bothered. HA!

I actually used to screw up "on" and "in", but not for the reasons you might expect. I always thought cars were "on" lanes and not "in" their lanes because a car was "on" the road, ergo the car was also "on" the lane. What I couldn't grasp was that the car was within the boundries of the lane. FOr me it was just a logic issue.

I don't screw anything up 'cause I'm perfect don'tcha know?

I suck at punctuation though ...

Oh, and one thing that irks me is people who use "then" instead of "than".

Something along the lines...

"If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, you have to marry a fat woman to be your wife".

I know its wrong, but its around the right way!

I'm crap at punctuation. I tend to put commas where there doesn't need to be commas, I forget my full stops. I use to always say "should of" instead of "Should have" I find that I sometimes lapse into that way of talking. I generally worry the way I write is wrong.

That's good! I worry I may write incorrectly at times. Or I use the word "things" to much because I cannot grasp the right word in my head that I want to use instead of "thing" and the word "and" I tend to use it a lot as well and I try not to.

It's the one thing I can't stand in people. I don't like internet talk.

Same here. I didn't always. I'll be the first to admit when it first came about that dropping letters from a word was the 'new craze' I jumped right on board and typed rubbish but then the more I spoke to people, the worse their typing became. To the point I couldn't understand what they were saying and then I realised that's how others must feel about mine! So I stopped.
