What childhood hobby of yours do you miss most or still do?

I still collect Breyer horses. I have a 30-year collection!

I never really did anything except read and collect stuffed toys. Reading is still top of the list of Things To Do. However, most of my stuffed toy collection had to be left behind when my mother moved my siblings and me from Utah to Wisconsin. Out of over 300 dolls, i only brought along a stuffed snake i'd had since i was a baby and a handful of other such sentimentals.

I haven't collected one toy since we moved out here. And i somehow lost my most treasured snake. Boo. :(

Always loved drawing. Did a whole lot of that when I was a kid. Still do it but not nearly as much as I used to.

I loved deejaying when I was a volunteer at our youthclub. I miss deejaying still because it's a great thrill to make a whole crowd dance just by picking the right music and mixing it together.

Making rock cities with the little pebbles in the playground. Or Barbies. I miss Barbies a lot.

My best friend collected Breyer horses, and we played with them all the time.

WOW, you just brought back an insane amount of memories!

I used to constantly make little habitats for my fairy dolls. Houses, oases, forests, beaches, you name it. Made little clothes and toys for them too. I'd still do it if craft stuff weren't so expensive. :D

I love to color in coloring books, with crayons. I can't draw, but I can color and shade someone else's stuff.

Anti-Coloring books give me anxiety, even if they are meant to encourage creativity. I just get hives, instead.

Excellent question!!!
I miss playing in my sandbox I used to make a killer mud pie, my rock collection and collecting seashells and sea glass. Right now I live upstate in the mountains -- blah -- I miss my beach and my water. I used to go to the beach almost everyday in the off season. Sea glass is gold to me.

Sad state of affairs when I get hives from books, no?

You, dear man, are very much distracting today. :)

Reading mostly. There was this one old house we lived in though (where my sister was born), and out behind the shrubbery in the back were stables that hadn't been used for stabling anything in decades. The previous occupants had left behind oodles of stuff... just stuff. I would spend hours out there pretending the place was haunted by the ghost of one little girl who was painted in an oil portrait that was one of the things left behind. There were no other houses for miles, and I pretended we were friends. Sad, I know. I rather miss her now that you've made me think back on it.

Yeah, sure... but I really don't have the time for that and I'm sure there's lots of youngsters around here (some of which I helped train actually at the youthclub) that are a lot better at it than me by now.

Dance...
8 years of ballet, a half-dozen of modern and jazz, 3 years of choreography... aspirations of doing it for a living... and I'm somehow an old, overweight woman with no more time to dance...
