What was something cute / embarrassing you used to do as a kid?

I used to read under tables and in broom closets and sleep in the bath (fully clothed, no water).

I was an odd child.

I have no idea if this is cute, but it is DEFINITELY embarrassing. I was about 5 or 6 and my Mom had guests over. I had just watched Beauty and the Beast. So, I was totally in the love with the song Beauty and the Beast. Being the really tiny person I was, I had a tiny annoying voice back then too. I was running up and down the stairs singing the tune while naked --- I was preparing for a bath... And yeah, we have that on video! Embarrassing for sure!

And while that one instance of singing was the only one caught on video, I did that a lot. I used to be a real Disney baby. Thinking back on it now, I have no idea why.

I wanted to be a rock star/figure skater. I would tape waxed paper to the bottom of my slippers and "skate" around the living room while singing into a toy microphone to the imaginary enormous audience.

I wasn't allowed to do anything childish or cute - I was the oldest of 4 kids born in 5-1/2 years. I always had to be grown up and help with babies. Maybe that's why now, at 43, I act like I'm 23.

I talked backward when adults annoyed me in order to annoy them.  For example, taking the previous sentence, I would say, "Them annoy to order in me annoyed adults when backward talked I."  One teacher even suggested I had some sort of learning problem, to which my father responded, "Yeah, it's called youthful defiance.  What do you want from a kid being raised in the Vietnam era, hmmmmm?"  Heh.

I hated having my picture taken when I was suffering through an event I'd deemed beneath me.

My parents made me curtsy to visitors as a kid.
Funny thing I only discovered the WHY a few years ago...

Thank you! Most people think I'm in my early 30's, which works for me because I prefer guys in their early to mid 30's. My mom is 65 and doesn't look over 50.

This is late, but I am catching up on posts. I used to put on puppet shows in my living room, I would set up the ironing board and throw a sheet over it as the "stage" so people wouldn't see me behind it. I canvassed the neighborhood and put up fliers and sold tickets. Seriously, I FORCED all my neighbors to come! And I made all my own puppets. =)

yea im a dork.

I don't know if it's cute or embarrassing and I can't think of anything else but this one popped up when I read your question.

We once went to the zoo and came across a couple of deers and I walked up to the fence and said "Sorry Bambi but your mothers dead."
