Mandating the manufacturing of alternative-fuel vehicles. Our economy and well-being as a nation is suffering as a direct result of our addiction to petroleum as a fuel. I would have the military spend more of its research money into developing alternative-fuel vehicles that are comparable to today's cars and trucks, ships and aircraft.

As for foreign policy, I'd play it close to the chest until elected. Only an idiot would make declarative statements regarding that aspect of their office before being elected.

One thing I'm almost certain about is that I'll never be a politician.

Although, if I do run for office, I think mostly I'd like to pass laws to improve the health care system in my country. It has happened way too often that a person suffering from illness was turned away for lack of ability to pay.

This has saddened and angered me for such a long time. I imagine that many lives would be improved if more public hospitals were set up. There seems to be a severe lack of them in the provincial rural areas and even in the capital, there is a lack of public hospitals. Most of the hospitals in the city are expensive, private hospitals.

Domestic agenda: national health care, reforming education, shoring up social security, and light rail every-f*cking-where

International agenda: very Clintonesque (that would be Bill), as in world peace through diplomacy and getting the military the f*ck out of Iraq

First of all, I'd get rid of corporate lobbyists and campaign contributions.  It's WE THE PEOPLE, damn it!

Secondly, wean this country off of its foreign oil dependency by implementing proven methods of cleaner, safer energy sources.  The Santa Ana winds for example.  And to the environmentalists who say the windmills will "ruin the view" in those mountains, kiss my ass.  Come up with a better method or quitcherbitchin' about nothing.  Of course the windmills will be made to blend in with the landscape and not the pure white prototypes that were used during test runs, you jackasses.

Thirdly, dump Affirmative Action.  I'm sorry, but I'm of the school of thought that one should be hired based on ability, not on their skin colour or gender.  While the ability for a person to file a complaint if they feel they have been passed over just because of their skin colour or gender, even though they have the qualifications for the job will still be in place, the "forced quotas" that companies are made to endure now will be eliminated.  Oh, and one will be paid according to one's ability and not based on a bell curve some cocked up union set up.

Next, medical coverage will be determined by one's doctor's diagnosis and treatment and not on some pencil pushing dweeb or dweebette at an insurance company three hunderd some odd miles away who never once laid eyes on the patient in question.

And lastly (for now), abolish the current school system and implement schools that teach based on how one learns and not some outdated, cookie cutter method that hasn't changed in at least 50 some odd years.

And that's just for starters....ehehehehehe

Honestly, I believe we should run this country according the the great principles of those heroes we loved, and then forgot about.
I would base my platform on the honor and decency, the selflessness and sacrifices, the above all simple goodness of heart from those tales that we all looked up to in our youth...
Our society has lost touch with those heroes, but I would resurrect them.

I am, of course, talking about The Ninja Turtles.
