Yes. Real, messy, painful, bittersweet, would do anything to save them love, that doesn't change regardless of the situation or distance between you or even if you can't ever be together.

(I've loved the same person for almost 14 years and despite the fact we can never be together - he belongs to God - I always will. It doesn't detract from being in a relationship either - I don't love Dave any less, it's just different.)

Well, there are many kinds of love, so I'm not sure of the direction of the question.

Love for/of my pet. Yes.

Love for my friends. Yes.

Love of music. Yes.

Love of art and it's beauty. Yes.

And so on...

In love with an SO, yes, but it has been a while since my divorce that I've fallen in love with anyone, but I do believe there is another "falling in love" with an SO out there.

I'm a hopeless romantic.

The funny part of that is that it's really a hidden question... believe in? as in 'does it exist?' or as in 'believe in the power of it'?

Love exists. Without it, we wouldn't be nearly as stupid, reckless, or dangerous.

It would be a strange thing, indeed, for humans to make a word to describe something, and then spend an innumerable amount of time writing countless love songs and poems, sonnets and ballads, tidbits and pamphlets, and books and stories about, obsessing in the quiet of our minds, telling each constantly about it, basing religions on it, accepting it, tending it, mistreating it, and occasionally vehemently denying it... Only to find out that it doesn't even exist.

Do I believe in love? Oh yes.
Do I believe it is powerful enough to move mountains? No. But I believe it is powerful enough to move people, and people sometimes move mountains.
