Fictional would have to be Milla Jovovich'es character in the Resident Evil movies and Trinity from The Matrix movies. IRL it would be my grandma, who raised 7 children alone after my grandfather left her while she was pregnant with the last one. She never received a dime in child support and never saw him again. They were always dirt-poor but happy.
My parents, family and friends. Those who teach without having to use coercion. I hate people that are looking for converts. They lack humility and respect.
My dad. Hands down. As a child, he had polio and people in the community that he did not know, sent cards and well wishes. He recovered and became an adult, and when he was aksed to join a civic organization because he was an officer at the bank, he chose to become a volunteer firefighter, EMT, and a reserve sheriff. None of these positions are paid. So, I think that is a hero. Yeah, I do.
Hands down? My parents. They are two of the most awesome people in this world, I am firmly convinced. They may not have made huge impacts in the rest of the world... but no matter what, they kept going and they kept me and my sisters going. And I think the three of us girls turned out pretty good in a world that's gone crazy. So they are amazing. :)
my gramma. widowed before age 30 with 4 small children. remarried and had 3 more babies after the age of 40. and then raised me when she was in her 60s. HUGE PROPS!
The American painter Georgia O'Keefe who on going blind at 90 took up pottery as she couldn't see to paint anymore but could 'see' with her hands to make beautiful shapes. I also love her paintings.
