Fridays we can wear jeans and school coloured t-shirts (black, turqoise, and/or silver). The rest of the week, we wear business casual or business. The men tend to wear ties and dress pants. I wear nice pants and sweaters usually. That will be changing soon as the weather continues to move toward summer.
I can't remember where you live but I thought that it was in my general area and the color of clothing you mentioned sounds like this one place of employment. I don't want to mention where, just in case I'm correct. You have a right to privacy :)
Yeah, it's nice! I like Fridays. Well honestly I like dressing up too. I had way too many years of not being able to wear nice clothes to work. I love looking nicer these days. :)
I work in a cube farm that's office casual. Winter I wear tall boots and more casual skirts, but sometimes throw nicer dresses and pumps to mix it up. Summer it's more of the same, but with more skin, obviously.
Today being "casual Friday," (oooh) I'm wearing a short denim skirt, tights, biker boots and a casual top. I guess what it all boils down to is comfy.
I just re-read my comment. Gah, I'm such a girl. Oh well... :-)
We are business casual but at times must dress a bit more professional than b-cas, suits and heels.
There are days on b-cas that we can dress down a bit more too. It's all about what we've got on the agenda. Meetings with the public, etc.
Friday's are jeans day and often HR will implement jeans day, during the entire holiday season or other little holiday's. Being that we work most of them. Gah.
Whatever I'm in the mood for...mostly just jeans, sweaters, hoodies in the winter and I dress up a little more when it's warmer cause the clothes are cuter! I hate winter wear!! :D
The policy thingy says we're business casual (we Are a profession after all *rolls eyes*) but on any given day I can be trompin through mud, shit, dirt, mouldy & wet apartments, kitchens that just pour the bleach on the floor etc... So expensive casual clothes is just rather foolish as Mr Murphy would dictate they'd be ruined in a week.
Thus, I wear nice, but inexpensive business casual. ie no jeans and runners. Now if only I could find army boots with a heel, that could be the perfect combo of looking nice & not slipping in the muck! ;)
Clunky heel rather than stiletto of course. *pictures climbing up a water tanker in stilettos* yea that'd be bad. Embarrassing in the least, falling off and breaking things at the worst.
These days I only do freelance work from the comfort and privacy of my own home, so.... whatever I want! Some days that consists of pajamas, and still others, it might not be anything at all. (Those would be the days I'm too lazy to even get out of bed and just do stuff from there.) I guess I don't have it so hard anymore in this arena, eh?
Uh... I'm a professor. ;) Jeans, Birkenstocks or boots or Roman sandals, quirky shirts... I am SO the cliche. Sometimes, I go very girlie, but even then it's the eclectic girlie.
Four weeks ago I would've said business casual and comfortable shoes. Now I wear that for about 4 hours on Saturday mornings. The rest of the time I wear jeans, sneakers, and black or funky t-shirts with a sweatshirt on top. Once summer hits, if I'm still in my current position, I will wear t-shirts and tank tops with shorts!
jeans, and then later PJ Pants and a cami. I stay overnight three nights a week for an elderly millionaire with various lung issues to make sure she's ok. Make her dinner, get her cocktail... etc. Then go downstairs and watch tv and sleep.
A light blue navy coloured polo shirt with my name badge on and a pair of black trousers, sometimes I'll wear a black jumper/zip up hoodie if it's cold.
