PC, for the same reason I choose it now. It runs AutoCAD natively. (there are no substitutes for ACAD. It's industry standard. I don't CARE how good you think vectorworks is.)

the end.

Mac Os/X for the win, although a PC running Ubuntu 7.10 comes a close second. The reasons are security, reliability, ease of use and style.

It's like an Apple is the Ferrari of microcomputers while the Windows PC is the Chevy. I have one older MAC, but my PCs are running Linux.

That depends on whether I want a computer...
Or a giant piece of shit with a polychromatic apple on the side.

Crikey. Did somebody drop an Apple computer on your cat or something?

An Apple killed my grandpa.
Well, that's not true, cancerous legions on his brain and liver failure did, but I imagine somewhere along the line, an Apple was to blame for it.

I think it doesn't matter really. Want design, go for Mac. Want variety of models (and a sucky operating system) go for PC. I've always used Windows, but I'm seriously considering switching over to some form of Linux at one point. Right now I'm sticking to XP but I don't think I'll ever willingly make the transition to Vista. It's just got too many problems (and SP1 will probably make them worse).

Personal computer is an iBook. I can work both platforms easily, but I like the stability of Macs and not having to fiddle with things and reinstall my OS every couple of months. :)

A computer is a computer, right? As long as I can have my writing software and internet connection, I could care less. Which ever lasts longer.

Hmmm...that would be the next question if we are speaking of longevity.

Do I choose a woman or a man?

I had a little iMac at a job a few years ago, and it was the MOST miserable piece of crap machine I have ever worked with at all. It turned me off to Macs altogether. I am used to PC, and I am not an artist. So PC for me.

After years and years and years of tinkering with a PCs (I am a programmer for work), I broke down last summer and bought the drool-worthy Mac Book Pro with the big-ass 17" glossy monitor for personal use. I still use a PC at work.

I love not having to tinker with things. I run very powerful graphics applications, including WoW and Second Life and he breezes along. I see things before my fellow PC gamers know what hit them. It's almost not fair sometimes.

Almost everything about it is beautiful and powerful. My only complaint is the shitty, faulty power cord that came with it.

Mac forever, baby.

As an Avid PC user and always being told by the MAC boys that their kit was the daddy I always thought I was a wannabe MAC person. But knowing the truth then well, Bill Gates is the daddy, cmon bill.

PC for me

I've never been on a mac so i couldn't say. One of my instructors is a huge fan of them, though.

Honestly, if it's a machine that lets me do what i want when i want, i'm happy. :)

Weeeeeendoooooows! Because I heart my left click option. And because Apple has proved through iTunes that it is as big a pain in the ass as Microsoft, and I'll stick with the gremlins I know.

I have a PC because my love is an Ubuntu developer.
But Macs are WAY cooler.

I like a good computer than runs good software that does not get virus' and rarely crashes and lasts a very long time.

So Apple Mac for me. I pity those poor souls who are lost in the world of the PC.

Sometimes....

I pray to Steve Jobs for their soul.

If I could afford Mac, I would definatly choose Mac. Simply because of the recording software available for it. Also, I have been told that the drawing boards and art supplies for Mac are amazing...I'm an art freak, it's what I do well...but right now I stick to pencil and cante, it's cheaper and I need a new Jeep before I need a new computer lol.
