It really depends on what it is I'm doing. If it is something I am not particularly thrilled about needing to do, the satisfaction when it is done is best. When I enjoy the task, then I would say both are wonderful. :)
I'm more alive during the challenge, but there's great pleasure in the afterglow of success. I want to say the "alive" part... but my guilty and somewhat lazy self has to admit I may be hiding a superior enjoyment of the calm after the storm.
i enjoy the part right before you accept the challenge. That part where you breathe in and decide that you're going to do this, no matter what anyone thinks or says.
It depends on the type of the challenge, people challenges, dating etc, the thrill is the chase indeed, all else, would be the outcome for me.
When it's done it gives me such a great feeling of accomplishment, pride, happiness, total ego thing, but that is what I enjoy. But I am working hard on trying to enjoy the challenge the now, rather than the outcome.
So, if you ask me in a few months time, I might have a different answer.
For me, it's that moment just before I finish when I have finally wrestled things into place so that, in spite of a few details, and with the major challenge of the work finally behind me, I can see how it is all coming together... and I know that I am almost done. Which means I can have a cigarette.
Okay, honestly, I was going to say "both" but Brother Fox Bard makes a good point: when things are about to fall together is when it all tastes the sweetest.
deppends.. sometimes the challenge, love the thrill, the adrenaline rush... but sometimes, when it's all done, i get this content feeling that makes me feel so at peace
I think it's like sex. You rise (pun intended) up to the occasion of enjoying the task set out before you, take the time and consideration in what you're doing and get the intense exhilarating thrill and pleasure of it nearly being finished and then you're satisfied. ;P
