Well, there's a couple people who don't update for ages at a time, and i miss them while they're gone.
And there's one seems to have dropped off the face of the planet. Last i heard, he was living with his girlfriend in oklahoma. I sent him an email, but haven't heard back yet. He's very mindful of his friendships. *snort*
One person who deleted me was a big surprise. So Ithink because of the shock, it makes me miss her a bit. But really, the past is the past, and it doesn't matter now. But if ever I had a chance to make her explain, I might appreciate that.
There was another person who I even met in real life and we had a charming time. So I liked her.. but then she turned out to be a bit unstable, unadded me on a whim (on her part). And then got mad at the only mutual friend we had left, on a whim.. So I don't miss her, but I kinda miss who I used to think she was. But I'm definitely better off.
Not a bit. It wasn't meant to be and it made journaling not much fun when they were a part of mine so I wish them well but I am much happier not corresponding.
Kidding! No, I don't miss anyone not on my list. I keep the happy memories and make new friends. There's a reason people - especially immigrants - say, "you can never go back," why Yoda said, "Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not," and why Buddhists teach that nothing is permanent.
I suspect that if a person can accept that, that they can live to an age old enough to have seen all of the friends they made in the first 20 years of their life die and still be happy.
There is always a few that I miss that I used to be real tight with but as time moves on things are ever changing and I just embrace those that I have in my life now and look back on the good times with the others.
There are a few I miss, but only because they were assholes and I would really like to sock it to them. Pure childish ego on my part. ::grin:: They are really not worth all the stress to bother with. However, that being said, if the opportunity ever gracefully arose from out of the depths of serendipity... I would totally sock it to them! (A certain 'path_of_menstruation' comes to mind...) ^__~
There is one person that I really do miss, though. pooka.
My first fandom friend. She got busy with her young career when we were just getting closer. She might come back, though, she says, one day. Her journal's inactive now. Miss her. :(
Yes, there is. One of my LJ friends passed away from cancer two years ago, and I miss her dearly. Her journal is still on my friends list and will always stay there. It's like a shrine to her now.
