Do people recognise you by your voice?

Somebody told me I have a fairly unique pattern of speech... I liked that :D

I honestly don't know. So few people hear me speak regularly, it's hard to say.

All the time! Because I'm a singer. It's awesome too! Now, if I'm at my mother's or sister's and answer their respective phones...Everyone confuses us. But most people know me by voice rather than name because of my singing! I LOVE IT!! :D

AND...You could say the alphabet and make me melt!! :D

I often get recognized on the phone. And when I call out to people they know it's me most of the time... But no one's ever told me that exactly, but I guess... Kind of.

On the telephone everyone keeps mixing me up with my father. I don't think I sound anything like him

When I was a teenager and still lived at home many people mixed me up with my mother, and at that point we really had similar voices.

But now, yes, I guess it´s easy to recognise me by my voice.

Not that i know of. I'm sure people know me more by what i say than how i sound.

Also, i exaggerate accents and tone of voice a fair amount. So that might be another telling factor. :P

Here - yes, my voice is instantly recognizable because I'm the only North American... however, it's my laugh, apparently, that's my most recognizable vocal characteristic.

Yes. By the timbre of my voice. Moreso my singing voice than my speaking voice, but yes. They do recognize me by this.

true story:
back in high school, i had a teacher who would always got on my case, always asking me to leave the classroom or whatever, even when everyone else was talking too, so one day i decided to talk to him and ask him if it was personal.. he apologised and told that my voice was always the frist one he recognized.. too high for a boy, too low for a girl

I think I'm similar... people can't recognize my voice alone generally.. but if I say a whole sentence people can quickly recognize me by how fast I speak. I once got asked if I was speaking Russian when I was speaking English (or.. "American" to you :P). I also have this weird affectation on vowels. It's not an accent in the normal sense, but it's still kinda odd.
