What has been the biggest change in you over the past decade?

I've become much more relaxed :D

omg - so much has changed that it's difficult to think of what changed the most!

My views on religion, faith, family, politics, the world, my self, having babies - they have all been major!

10 years ago I hated that I was Mexican. I hated that some people labeled me as 'exotic.' I hated that I had dark hair and dark eyes. I wanted to be the all american girl with blonde hair and light eyes - that had (in my mind), a 'normal' background without a trace of exotic.

Does that sound like me today?

And if I described what I thought on all the other topics I mentioned, you wouldn't recognize the me of today in that description either.

Ten years ago I was suicidally depressed and struggling to find reasons why I should live. I was broke, full of rage, and loathed myself.

Today I am in love with life and the world around me. I cherish every day and can no longer imagine wanting to die before my time. I am, overall, peaceful, optimistic, and happy in my own company. I'm not rich, but my life is incredibly abundant.

Hmmn... My location has changed, I'm a little bit taller, I weigh about the same, my attitude is much different though.

I'm now more concerned with me and less concerned with what other people think of me. I'll still do as much as possible to help my friends but I won't be a doormat. I've accepted myself for who I am and am now more happy than not.

I still don't know what I want to do "when I grow up", mind.

10 years ago I was madly in love, and the most annoyingly happy person you could me...now I'm still just as in love...just not sure if it's such a good thing or not.

Becoming a mother. For the first time in my life, I've learned there actually is pure and unconditional love for another human being. For the first time there's someone more important than me. Someone else's needs go before mine, and someone else's happiness is all I need to be happy.

Tons of things, normally in the last 5 years or so.
I can't really narrow it down.I had a lot of changes in myself after my miscarriages, then here was my divorce and coming to terms with that to getting remarried a couple of months ago.

The biggest change in me...

...over the past decade is that my anger has lessened.

Hope that you and yours are doing all right, that things are going okay, and that the rest of the day goes all right for you all.

Hugs. *HG*

God bless and take care. :).

My biggest change has come in the last few years. I've become more aware of myself. It's still a change in progress, but before then.... man, I was oblivious.

The biggest change?
Mentally: Learning to be very blunt, almost to the point of brutality.
Emotionally: Not taking responsibility for other people's thoughts, choices, decisions, words, and/or actions.
Physically: It's a toss up between tattoo work done and the ear surgeries I'm going through.

I have suffered a 90-5% Death of Personality within the space of five years. But, I'm nearly done with the new model. Lookin' good - much better and more stable. Still awaiting a few upgrades to come in to complete the package.

I had a kid at 35. Nothing changes a person like that does.

At any age, it would change your life, but at 35 you think you are who you're going to be, and that it's all set in stone. Wrong! :D
