Nothing at all - I have a stomach of steel, it seems. The only time I've ever been sick or had diarrhea from eating something was when I had food poisoning, which wasn't due to any particular food per se.
Beets. Beets have a protien that I can't have at all. Not even if that protien is in with something else. Ex. V-8 juice, or on pills with a vegetable coating derived from beets. I have to read labels so as not to get any beet protiens. I can't have sugars made from sugar beets either. And I like beets. :(
Seriously, I've GERD, or whatever it's called in the UK. I've got to take a sample of Nexium around to the GP that I got from the US and see if it's covered as it's the only thing that will let me enjoy anything tomato based.
None whatsoever. We'd have a little heated debate with hard boiled eggs or raw onions, but nothing too drastic. We just don't hang out at the same parties.
Chow mien goes through me like water. I love the stuff, but within a half hour I need to grab a book and head for the library:) I don't eat hot stuff either. Once my taste buds are numb, there's no point in eating anymore.
Anything greasy, potatoes/potato products, coffee, brussel sprouts, meat that's still alive (pink sausages...ewwwww), blue cheese, most frozen cardboard meals and anything pastry laden (except apple pie...I like that)
Oh and lychees, prawns and anything else with the texture and consistency of eyeballs. Ick :o(
Burger King onion rings. It's the ultimate tear gas. It's the only fart that I really feel guilty about because the stink is more epic than a sewerage treatment plant could ever aspire to. My wind can usually be felt across rooms through the floor, and there are at least three people who read your LJ that can attest to that. The ass violence even has its own name: Anal Judo Roar (which is also an anagram for my name!).
A close second are these Japanese rice crackers that I ate once that made my breath so volatile that as an Exalted game, everyone thought the Korean woman upstairs was cooking something involving rotting fish. Thankfully, I was the first to put 2+2 together. At first, my crew didn't believe me, but after a handful and an exhalation, they knew I wasn't kidding. It was weird.
I can have less than half of one and I'll get a migraine, every time. It seems to be the peel from what I've seen (see below), but I don't like them enough to shave them.. .and I still can't have a smoothie or anything with banana in it because the inside of the peel *always* leaves a trace. Red Wine does it too, and lots of chocolate. But it has to be a huge amount. Which would make anyone sick, I guess. Ooooh, I'm rambly today. LOL *hugs*

Question:
Is there a link between migraines and potassium and between potassium and calcium? I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I normally can't eat a single banana without getting a migraine, unless I drink large amounts of milk.
Answer:
Bananas can indeed cause migraines. But when we put people on an anti-migraine diet, and tell them to stay away from bananas, it's not the banana, it's the peel. If you can make sure there is no peel stuck to the banana, you won't get migraines from them. Just shave the outside of the banana. The peel contains the same chemical found in red wine and chocolate, which produces migraines in some people. -- Robert B. Daroff, MD, president, American Headache Society, neurologist. University Hospitals of Cleveland.
