a person has to show interest in either reading or movies...but different kinds of reading and movies...not just main stream. if a person can carry on a decent, intellectual convo about either of those i'm usually hooked. i don't like people who carry on in a snob like manner...but simply someone who's able to make a beautiful, intelligent sentence about it all. :D

You know what, I don't think I've ever been on a date-date, or even been asked on a date. Usually I meet people wherever I work or go to school, and stuff develops from there, but usually it's just like hanging out more and more often, until finally we give up and move in together. I'm not much on being wined and dined, I prefer things to be more casual.

As for what it takes to be my boyfriend/girlfriend... basically I'm open to anyone who isn't an obvious fucktard. I've been romantically involved with people from all walks of life; there is no particular formula or type.

Assuming that I'm free to date, which I'm not, but if I were:

Must be reasonably intelligent. You don't have to be a member of Mensa, just well spoken and able to read books without pictures.

Must be able to have an intelligent conversation and be able to back up your opinions. Also, not freak out if there happens to be a :60 lull in the conversation.

Must be able to enjoy comfortable silences. Sometimes there just aren't any words, and that's OK.

Don't try to change me.

Don't take life or yourself too seriously.

Find beauty and humor in everything.
