Languages. As a classical singer, you have to learn to perfectly execute Latin, French and German lyrics. Which I did...somehow the music made sense to me and the feeling and pronunciation comes out of that, I think.
Ask me to speak them...and I'm stumped, I can't do it. It's like reading gibberish, makes no sense whatsoever and I can't remember a thing.
Anything with a lot of numbers baffles me. Language I can understand; reading and writing are the air I breathe. Numbers seem to make my head spin though.
I have no talent for languages either. I can't even get a US southern accent right... and if you want me to try a fake british one it's downright insulting. eeps. How's your American accent?
Scoring Tennis. I have had it explained to me about 20 times and I still don't get it. I don't understand why they can't just use 0's and as for the sets and games in a set...I look at the numbers on the screen and hear the announcers talking about the current score and it's just a complete mystery.
I can learn anything if it has to do with my mind, but where I have troubles is how to manage my time. Like today...so many great LJ posts I haven't even made it through them yet. Could spend all day doing this...but then that over there doesn't get done.
Anything to do with math or understanding technical concepts. Hell... even learning enough basic HTML to blog worth a damn was a challenge for me! I still remember how long it took me to "get" image tags, and even simple things like italics tags. Don't even get me started on how hard it was for me to learn Photoshop well enough for me to be able to paint and draw in it!
