What are you justifiably arrogant about?

Not your kids, or your partner, or your friends... YOU. Come on, let me see you strut!

My skill with words, and more importantly, how they effect people.
The positive and negative induces. I know how to use them, almost innately.
Like Robert Heinlein said...

... Used correctly, they are heap big magic.

I'll give you two, I'm feeling arrogant today:

I'm a damn good therapist and I make natural products that are to die for.

Also I have amazing hair.

2 things:

I can dance... No, really, I can. Really well. I took a year of jazz (fun but not as fun as horses) and a year of ballet (booooring) as a child. Other than that, I've never taken classes. But, I sure look like I have.

My brain - it's a great brain.

I have to go with Kez. My brain, which leads to the only things about which I am consistently arrogant about (my education, my job, etc.).

Men aren't helping.

"justifiably arrogant"...?

*thinks*

Quilting and historical costuming. I've worked very hard to get my skills at the level they're at. It's kinda weird to know that people are using me as a resource for background info and for suggestions/ideas as to how to go about creating their own.

I'm a good person.

I love freely.

I share openly.

I am honest.

I am fun.

And I operate without malice.

None of this is automatic, it takes work because sometimes the alternative is easier. But the effort is always there.

And I am proud of that effort.

And I hope the effort shows.

My hair...although that is more vanity, so let's try again.

I have gotten knocked down in life. A lot. And am still a very positive, upbeat person. I really shouldn't like people, let alone men, and yet I still give my heart and life and openness freely.

Also, I make kickass gingersnaps. :)

See icon. Another vote for the brain. It's sort of half justifiably arrogant that I could read when I was 2 and do fractions before I was 4 and memorize whole series of random numbers from the calculator BACKWARDS before I could be trusted to reliably not pee in my pants, and half extreme annoyance that this doesn't make any difference to people who believe in the "work ethic" as the only oute to success.

On the other side of things, I am 100% NOT arrogant about how unbelievably lazy I am...

I am extremely multi-talented and multifaceted. And if I am interested in something, and you give me an instruction manual for it, I will learn it. If I enjoy the topic enough, I have the ability to master it - be it living languages, dead languages, music, history, literature, art in a variety of mediums, science, philosophy - even arithmetic, gods forbid... it's endless. And the more I absorb and learn, the more potent and useful my intellect becomes. It's like honing a sword edge over a whet stone.

Every day I'm a little smarter than I was the day before. It's a good feeling, especially for someone who once absolutely believed he had the IQ of a turnip.
