Denominational Carol -
Adeste Fideles (the original Latin version of O Come All Ye Faithful) and In the Bleak Mid-Winter

Religious "pop" -
I'm possibly the only person willing to admit that they bought all Mr Richard's Christmas number ones...

Non-Denominational / Secular -
White Christmas if sung by Bing Crosby

Edit:
Ooops - how could I forget The Pogues - Fairytale of New York...I love that song!

Although it isn't a true 'Christmas song', we sang "Let There Be Peace On Earth" at the end of a multicultural chorus concert when I was a wee child of fourteen. Since then, to me it embodies the spirit of the season more than any other song I've heard.

However, the one that makes me cry is "O Holy Night".

Coventry Carol. Oh, and I do like The Holly and the Ivy. I'm not a huge fan of Christmas carols as a rule though.

I love O Holy Night and Mary Did You Know? They're beautiful songs. I also love just about anything by Trans Siberian Orchestra. :D And traditional songs like The Christmas Song, Silver Bells (that was Gran's favorite), Silent Night, Jingle Bells...

And Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree.. that was Grandpa's favorite. :D

I think I just love Christmas music, lol.

I have a quirk, in that I detest Christmas music at Christmas. There's too much of it, and seemingly no escape. So usually you'll find me humming Christmas music in July or August.

One of the very few songs that don't drive me over the edge at Christmas would be Crash Test Dummies version of Noel, and I'm a fan of Rolf Harris's 'Six White Boomers' from Australia.. I never hear that more than once or twice a year.. and I usually have to dig it out of my own collection. Other than that I like the funny tunes.. like Robert Earl Keen's 'Merry Christmas from the Family'

My fav Xmas songs....

"Deck The Halls"

Deck the halls with gasoline
Fa la la la la
la la la la

Light a match and watch them gleam
Fa la la la la
la la la la la

Watch them as they burn to ashes
Fa la la

Aren't you glad you play with matches?
Fa la la la la

"Joy To The World"

Joy to the world
our teacher is dead
we barbequed her head!

What happened to her body?
we flushed it down the potty!

And then we made a toast!
And then we made a toast!

And theeeen and theeeen
we made a toast!
