Peppermint Reapportionment!! OMG that made me laugh till I had tears! I don't know why as there are SEVERAL good ones there but OMG that caught my funny bone! Ranks up there with Emo Pinata! AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
I honestly can't say what the ONE best thing was. I guess the plus side is I still have 5 day, 6 if you count today here and now.. to think of the one best thing. :)
Getting married the night before MarsCOn 2008 then finding out my friend gave birth the following day and then running MarsCon 2008 which was 2/29/08-3/2/08.
Our son coming home from residential treatment. He was there almost a year and he learned a great deal of coping skills to help manage his behavior and anger.
He doesn't always use them, but this year I have watched him grow and learn how to make healthy choices when it comes to interacting with others... and he is less suicidal, which is an awaesome thing since he is only 9 (he came to us this way... used to try and do himself in in various and strange ways ever since he was 2).
Overall... it really has been an interesting year. I graduated with my Associates Degree in Engineering and our business failed, but we worked really hard to try and make it work. I have a decent job (even if it is only part time) and I have school. My marriage came back from the brink of divorce and, while my health has gotten worse, I am trying to make healthy decisions myself.
To begin with I was very happy that Jessie's grades picked up drastically since his new school year began in August. He's putting a lot more effort into his school work now, and it shows.
For me, the beginning of the year up until the end of the summer was filled with finishing up my LPN prerequisites, which was a lot of work. Then I started phlebotomy, and no matter how much drama we had, I learned so much. Then came my graduation, which earned me a medical title and the ability to work as a phlebotomist. Here, too, a great part was how Jessie came through for me on graduation night and he showed me how proud he is of me. And of course, being accepted into LPN school was the icing on the cake.
So 2008 was an awesome year for me all around, and picking just one thing is impossible :)

I honestly don't know. There have been some awesome parts of 2008, but nothing sticks out to me as the "best part". I would have to say that, on average, 2008 was kinda mid-line for me. There weren't a TON of major highs, but there also weren't a lot of lows (at least not drastic lows). It just kinda went up and down and hung out in the middle for the most part. ;-)
being able to change my work schedule so i was at home with the hubs and the kids every single night. man, that made such a difference in my life. i'm so blessed.
