Unfortunately, the only place I have found it (besides the HoS program it was heard on) is on the Gregorian Chillout album - and the album is NOT on iTunes, the scurvy bastards. And I can't find it on YouTube, either. Otherwise, I'd send you a sample... it's a great song.
For the past few days, I've had "Stargazer" by Rainbow on repeat. It's just a shade under eight and a half minutes of rock -n- roll fantasy.....of course my fantasy runs wild when I hear the line "in the heat and the rain, with WHIPS and CHAINS...." Wonder why that is?
My other favorite song of the moment is by the Italian band Le Orme...the song is "Cemento Armato" which means "reinforced concrete." Like, how deep......:D
Ooh, don't get me started! ;-) I love making music recs!
I have to second "Love Lockdown" by Kanye West...there's just something about it...
"Hips Don't Lie", Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean
"Lilly" by Pink Martini (really ANY Pink Martini)
"Woke Up This Morning" by Alabama 3 (pretty much any Alabama 3)
If you don't know SJ Tucker/s00j/Skinny White Chick's music, check it out (http://www.skinnywhitechick.com). Besides being a terrific independent artist, she is also uninsured and hospitalized, so a movement is afoot to spread her music in order to raise the funds she needs to get well.
Emilie Autumn...I particularly recommend "Rose Red" and "Juliet"
"I Will Rise Up" by Lyle Lovett...it's very gospel-infused and sort of dark and gothic and spooky
"Gravedigger" by Dave Matthews Band...also has a very Southern Gothic feel to it
"Erased" by Annie Lennox
"Butterfly" by Tapping the Vein
"Voodoo" by Godsmack
"Tais-toi Mon Coeur" by Dionysos
"Live With Me", Massive Attack
Also look for the artists Salsa Celtica (Celtic music done in salsa style by Scottish dudes), Abney Park (airship pirate goth songs!), Pisces Projekt, Bongo Maffin or Thandiswa (South African hip hop...I challenge you not to love "Brave, Strong, and True" by Bongo Maffin), Eddie from Ohio, and Shemekia Copeland (best. blues. EVER.)
