I had a teacher once who, on the first day of the class, walked in and said, "Now I want all you ladies to remember one thing, if you forget everything else I say- Men are pigs."
All the girls laughed.
"...And guys? Women are the devil."

So yeah, I meant it. We are stupid. We are foolish, impetuous, often unthinking creatures of habit.
The true tragedy about it, though, is that we are not alone.

I'm not saying that to start a gender war, mind you. But it is an honest answer to your question.
Why do we do things like that? For the same base reason that we fuck a lot of other things up- We're morons, and we make poor decisions based on bad judgment.

That's the problem with having two heads - you only have enough blood to run one at a time... and blood flows so much easier when assisted by gravity. :P

Yeah, I agree - women are stupid for falling in love and thinking that making a man happy and raising children is a good way to fulfillment... Then they wonder why they bothered, years later when they're old and wrinkly and saggy and alone because the man had no appreciation for her sacrifices and care and took off for a younger model to do it to all over again.

Sad, really. :P
