I base most of my decisions on survival.
What people often mistake about that is that survival, to me, is a moral issue. My own survival is, of course, the most important thing to me. I got addicted to life at an early age, and I just can't seem to shake the habit. However, when I say "myself" in this situation it includes all those who I care about, personally. Everyone that I consider "under my wing", so to speak, whether they know it or want to be there or not.
Which is why I get so personally upset, guilty, and offended when a friend of mine dies too far away for me to have done anything about it, as you no doubt have noticed.
Past myself comes everyone else. Basically after the first category the rest are too difficult for me to separate for comparison at this moment.
