Can you name a song that you love, but disagree with the lyrics of?

Most love songs out there are odes to co-dependency!

I had to think really hard about this one. Lyrics generally are very important to me, so I have to agree with them or have to be able to relate to them at least partly to love the song.
What came to my mind was Delta Goodrem´s "Lost without you", because I listened to it just yesterday. I like the song and I think it´s normal to feel like that after a sepapration. But the feeling to be totally lost without someone and to not know how to move on ever shouldn´t last.

On the subject of Love songs and co-dependency:

Lovefool is the worst offender, although that tune is so beautiful and chipper.

Cop Killer by Ice T also. Great tune, but lyrics about shooting down the police? Um, no thanks.

I can't, because if I disagree with the lyrics, I tend to not like the song. I don't rate my music by "it has a good beat and you can dance to it."

Imagine - John Lennon.

Which is probably why Saltwater by his son Julian has taken it's place in my affections.

Until Hurricane Katrina, Bob Dylan's The Time's They Are A'Changin'. But applied to Hurricane Katrina and the current climate of the globe, this song is almost a parody as well as a deep sarcastic warning.

Either way, I love hearing Candice Night sing it. This video has her cleavage! ::happy swoon:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqzuEnPSXlc

(Fleetwood Mac represent! Concert ROCKED.)

How about half the Christine McVie catalogue? I love her music (most of the time), but the lyrics are generally about how she doesn't deserve/is subservient to/worries about her relationship because she's a woman or inadequate. Say You Love Me, Sugar Daddy, Oh Daddy, etc.

I want to know what possess people to write about this stuff.

"Red row, red row, more murder more murder.
Used to have a fine bitch, till I had to hurt her.
This bitch by my side, its starting to get cold,
Im still fucking her body and its two days old."

And it gets worse, talking about a new woman and her kid, ice picks to the head, 9 between her legs, and her period is two weeks early. Label him a cannibal, eat a pussy till it bleeds, call me Hannibal, etc. Really rough, really graphic and SOOOOO Jeffery Dahmer.

Drowning Pool - Let the Bodies Hit The Floor. An ode to "I can't control my rage, let me start killing people because I'm snapping".

But it's CATCHY.
