Would you rather get an honest opinion, even if it hurts?

My answer: Every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Why do you write?

I wanted to share the answer, because the question made me think.

These days, I write for me. Be they challenges, posts, poems, or stories. I post challenges in [livejournal.com profile] withhumanvoices that I feel would challenge me. I take line, word, or any other challenge, and write how it makes me feel, or what it makes me think of, and as for the rest, well, each poem is a fragment of a facet of what is currently on my mind, and I store it on this journal, not for any other reason but to share my thoughts. Even my posts, especially the introspective ramblings, are simply me taking a look at my own thoughts in the "cold light of day", and seeing if they make sense.

I've been through so many reasons for writing over the years, but my answer now, is that I write as an exploration of me, for me.
