Yep, there goes another weekend where innocent people are targeted by morons. Suicide bombing is wrong on so many levels. It's hard to believe that people who follow a faith like Islam, where suicide is held to be a sin so clearly, can be so easily swayed into believing that they will be exalted in heaven.

Muslims must only wage war according to the principles of Allah's
justice.
This should be sufficient to prove that suicide bombing bears no relation to the rules and ways of Islam, and that the people who are responsible will not be exalted in any way.

The weekend was good. Got a lot of rest despite driving for 300 or so miles...

Shahih Bukhari - Volume 2, Book 23, Number 445:
Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak:
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Whoever intentionally swears
falsely by a religion other than Islam, then he is what he has said, ( e.g. if
he says, 'If such thing is not true then I am a Jew,' he is really a Jew). And
whoever commits suicide with piece of iron will be punished with the same piece
of iron in the Hell Fire." Narrated Jundab the Prophet said, "A man was
inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has
caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him."

Narrated Abu Huraira-:
The Prophet said, "He who commits suicide by
throttling shall keep on throttling himself in the Hell Fire (forever) and he
who commits suicide by stabbing himself shall keep on stabbing himself in the

The above two quotes are from the Islamic Hadeeth, which make up the body
of Islamic law. They are quotes from the Prophet, whose example we are told to
live by. As regards the Islamic method of war, I would like to draw your attention to
the sections I'll quote below:

disbelieve fight in the way of the Shaitan." Qur'an 4:76
Islam allows war in self-defence (Qur'an 22:39), to defend Islam (rather
than to spread it), to protect those who have been removed from their homes by
force because they are Muslims (Qur'an 22:40), and to protect the innocent who
are being oppressed (Qur'an 4:75).
But the idea of a total and unrestricted conflict is completely unIslamic.
"Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do
not transgress limits. God does not love transgressors." Qur'an
2:190
Islam is in favour of peace and against violence. Murdering the innocent
leads to punishment in Hell:
"If anyone killed a person - unless it was for murder or for spreading
mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed the whole people"
Qur'an 5:32
Abu Bakr (the First Caliph) gave these rules to an army he was sending to
battle:
"Do not commit treachery or deviate from the right
path.
"You must not mutilate dead bodies.
"Neither kill a child,
nor a woman, nor an aged man.
"Bring no harm to the trees, nor burn them
with fire, especially those which are fruitful.
"Slay not any of the
enemy's flock, save for your food.
"You are likely to pass by people who
have devoted their lives to monastic services; leave them
alone"
