At first I was going to say either "Me" or "Love," but after reading the comment about cereal box toys I'm changing my answer: I believe that the children's fantasy film genre was at its prime in the 1980s and it's all gone downhill since then :-P
It's true! LabyrinthThe Neverending Story series, Return to Oz, etc, all are products of the 1980s and you don't see movies like that anymore. They were dark and fantastical and brilliant and despite being 24, I love (and own) them all :-P
