Yeah, so the Muslims are killing each other again, surprise surprise...

The whole area's becoming a hell... It goes beyond annoying...

Mohammed could be the Kwistatz Haderach (sp?)

We need to get a muslim version of "Dune". The fremen would never condone wasting so much water when living in a desert climate. If people want to kill eachother then it should be hand to hand, and the winner will have to take care of the losers family!!

That would make a whole lot more sense than this...

i just want to bury my head in the sand.

this has been going on in iraq for a long time - they were on the brink of civil war before the u.s. butted in and their presence hasn't calmed the situation.'

the only reason this didn't happen sooner, in my opinion, was that saddam ruled as a tyrant and killed anyone who caused trouble. the u.s. is not able to do (and we would be appalled to see) what it would take to unify iraq.

i've contemplated this quite a bit, and i think that what the world's muslims need is not the vanquishing of their supposed enemies but a theologically strong muslim leader who can influence people away from these destructive actions.

Yes, they do need that, but the problem is, there's no hierarchy, no pope-equivalent...

It's a ridiculous situation

Alas, if only life made as much sense as fiction. Perhaps if we air-dropped a few thousand Frank Herbert paperbacks on the middle-east...

Maybe it has something to do with the distinct lack of giant sand worms in that area of the world. Hm.

Very likely :)

And leaders...

I'm sure after a few more oil spills we can have giant sandworms within a couple years, that or the creatures from tremors.

Some of those would sort the place out quickly :)
