- Wildlife documentaries. Some cute little baby thing always dies of something or other, and they always show the mommy animal looking all bereaved and at a loss. Weebling ensues on my part. I got mascara absolutely everywhere when I went to see "March of the Penguins" (which is an awesome movie, by the way).

- Sad partings in books and movies, esp. deaths (if well-executed, that is). Not to spoil the Dark Tower series for anyone, but the last book made me so (SO!) sad. The poor husband would come home, find me on the couch weeping with it, pat my head and say "I'm sorry whoever it was died, I hope they come back alive soon or something. Want a kleenex?"

- Life. Occasionally it refuses to adhere to my plan for it, and this makes me upset and prone to irrational bouts of petulant weebling. This happens about once a quarter, I have one night during which I hate life, and then it's back to normal and everything's fine.
