Sometimes. The bitch of it is that sometimes what passes for justice isn't satisfying, and (ironically) that's just criminal.

Justice is based on the whims and feelings of individuals. And circumstances and how we perceive those and ourselves in the scenario.

Very true... but the nature of the world is unfeeling...

It can never be justice for a child to die needlessly, nor can it be justice for people to get away with murder because of their position...

The other side of the question though, is how can justice be delivered by such fallible people as humans?

Oh, that's an easy one! Through self-righteous will alone.

Self-righteous will? But that's dependant on the opinion of the self-righteous person, and the justice may not be fair...

It doesn't matter to them if in their eyes justice has been delivered, even it it isn't fair. It's like "you broke my law| this is my justice| you don't like it? Tough shit." It's even worse if justice is dictated by law because law must be general in order to affect the biggest demographic. The more people, the thinner the slice of cake.

Street justice is usually more cut and dried though...

At this moment for me- no.

Kidding, but I am feeling like the world is unfair. I think maybe there ultimately is justice.

Yes and No...
an abiguous statement but I believe accurate. Sometimes issues/matters occur which "know" to be both monstrously unjust & socially harmful. Then some measure of justice occurs naturally. If you believe in Karma the injustice eventually gets weeded out, but often not in the manner/timeframe we would like.

In "Way of the Gun," when asked if he believed in Karma, James Caan's character, Joe Sarno, said : "Karma's justice without the satisfaction. I don't believe in justice."

From my own personal experience I really beleive it. It's just personal so you don't know about it. I mean with other people like tv personalities and presidents too. They get theirs. Hopefully on a personal level because that's the worst.

if you don't find justice in this life then you shall in the next. All things are balanced in the universe... although sometimes it doesn't feel like it.
