We circle around each other
knowing how close we've been
as well as how far
We know each other so well
years of shared experience
but still we circle
wary of giving
afraid of receiving
The brightest memory
burning like a sun in my mind
is of the one time
we stopped circling
and tore down these walls
together

Ahhh.. the dance. There is pleasure to be found in that dance. This poem is particularly beautiful, it has so many mixed emotions screaming through in few words.
I hope you find a time when you can put your feet up. *claps hands*

Nicely said. It's seldom I stop much less tear down walls.

Honesty and frailty ... and hope thrown in for good measure.

I enjoyed this piece Ayoub. The 'burning sun' image appeals to me.
