What price an innocent life?
A man dies, by mistake
child caught in crossfire
bystander hypnotised
hit by a stray shot
is there ever any recompense?
People are stolen every day
needlessly
before their time
What is the price
of survival?

good question. WHat is the price for survival. I use to think it was happiness. But as I get older it becomes harder for me to define happiness as a whole.

Happiness is in a moment...

True happiness is in letting the joy last, and forcing the pain to be fleeting...

Bullets from a window or meteor strikes; there is no "before their time." A person lives as long as a person lives, period. The price of survival is in dealing with the memories.

Not at all! A life span isn't supposed to be a guarantee, it's more of an aspiration. There's never been a promise of longevity that couldn't be broken. That's why I enjoy life as much as possible: I'd rather have a full but short life than a long and empty one.

Given that choice, I agree :)
