If someone were to write a song about you, what time in your life would you want them to base it on?

It was magical; It was a time between times.
I was loved and I was happy; I was never happy like that again for a long, long time; many years.
I was young and stupid;
I knew when I walked away from it,
that life would never be quite that wonderful again
love and blessed be

It would be the most joyous song ever written...

Take Paul Simon's "Father and Daughter" and multiply by a billion :D

:)

But isn't there a period in your life you'd want immortalised in song?

The whole idea that someone would do something like that is more than enough for me.

Sing A Song Of Me-pence

It would be far more interesting for me to let the songwriter decide what aspect or period of my life they think is worth singin' about.

I was once interviewed for a documentary and the raw footage of the interview was a good couple of hours long, plus they came back for a follow up and shot additional background footage that day. The project lost it's funding so the documentary was never made, but I was one of something like six other women in this film, so I can't imagine I would have gotten more than 15 minutes of face time all together.

My sadness about the film never being made was not about my Warholian 15 minutes going down the tubes, but because I couldn't wait to see what, if anything, they found about my blather that was germane to the subject of the film.

It's definitely a shame the film wasn't made... I would have asked for your autograph :)

If only the Spice Girls could reunite just so they can sing the song written about me. Ahhhhhh...

I crack myself up. Have a great weekend!

It dawned on me that life was not a play in which I was the star. Everything's so much easier when you realize that you really aren't the center of the universe.

Yeah, but it's also sad...

I mean, I want to be the star!

I don't! Too much work! There's a reason that the star is never seen reading comic books and eating sun chips for hours at a time. Because they have more important things to be doing. Supporting cast and extras get lots more free time.

A time that has yet to come honestly. Though I think if someone to truly write a song about me, it would be based on what they think of me and how they percieve me to be. Gives you insight to how others see you :)

the time when i sang "wreck of the edmund fitzgerald." it could be a ballad. maybe gordon lightfoot's son could sing it. it'd be hilarious.
