Date: 2006-11-05 07:11 pm (UTC)2. What do people in the UK do to celebrate? Honestly before V I had heard about it but honestly know nothing else about it, besides the basic failed gunpowder parliament plot.

Date: 2006-11-05 08:10 pm (UTC)2. A bonfire, and the kids make an effigy of Guy Fawkes, call it "The Guy" and roam the streets yelling "Penny for the Guy!" (That seems to be more rare these days though), then the effigy is burned at the top of a bonfire, and the kids keep the money :)
